Why this exists
More than one crore pensioners have to prove they are alive every year, or the money stops.
But that is only the last step. Applying for the first time, claiming after a death, chasing money that never came — each one is a different office, a different form, and a different set of words.
The people who need these schemes most are the people least able to find them. A widow in a village has no way to learn that a widow pension exists, let alone that she qualifies for it and not for the three listed beside it.
An old-age pension is approved by people in rooms, in a fixed order. So the tracker shows the rooms.
